Triplex deck equipment package to Oceanographic (Multipurpose Research Vessel) for Chile

Triplex AS has been selected as supplier of deck
equipment for the new Multipurpose Research Vessel that will be built by ASMAR (Astilleros y Maestranzas de la Armada de Chile) for the Chilean Navy.
The seven MNOK package, which includes three Deck Cranes, Davits, Guide Pins, Oceanographic Frames and hydraulic power packs, shall be delivered through 2nd quarter 2009.
The content of the package is almost identical to our delivery to the Irish Research vessel “Celitc Explorer” back in 2002.
Large orders of Triplex anchor handling equipment (NorSHipping)
Triplex anchor handling equipment (Shark Jaws and Towing Pins) is now a major force in the market.
APM Maersk has installed Triplex Shark Jaw & Towing Pins on board all of its AHTS since the early ’80s. At present there are orders for Triplex Shark Jaw equipment for 16
vessels under construction for this customer.
Asia and the USA are also becoming important markets for Triplex anchor handling equipment, where the equipment’s safety and efficiency are said to be the main reasons for their choice.
Triplex has so far received orders for 35 ship sets of Triplex Shark Jaw equipment for delivery from 2007-2009. This represents a total value of close to 100 million NOK.
